Question
Hi,

Is there a way to easily draw walls (double lines with fixed distance) in AutoCAD LT 2004?

Answer
Hi-- I do not understand why people think the Multiline command (absent from LT, I believe) is so great. I never liked using it.
It is not so much trouble to offset the outer or inner wall lines, clean up with FILLET or TRIM. I also generally use COPY OBJECT to place all the walls, after the first vertical and first horizontal.
If you draw the building outline with a polyline, you can offset the whole thing at once, as I showed my students yesterday.
So try these. I also suggest drawing any wall lines which are to be interrupted by hallways, etc., completely across the building, then trimming, to assure they all line up.
I hope this helps some.

PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS TO QUESTIONER-- MOST DON'T FOLLOW THEM, AND IT MAKES IT VERY HARD TO ANSWER WELL-- THANKS
