AutoCAD/Educational Products

Question
We recieved a file that we imported into our drawing. When we plotted the drawing we got a note, on all four edges of the drawing, stating "Produced by an Autodesk Educational Product"

Any way to get rid of this?

Answer
HI --

Obviously you are on an older AutoCAD, or you would have been warned when you opened the other file.(as best I know). Too bad you did not do a plot preview, by chance, before saving your drawing, or you would have seen the flags.  Those plot flags are all that keeps some people from using the cheap version made for students' budgets.

Instructions--
A-- Plan not to trust the person who sent you the file again, as they are either using student software to work, or imported a block or dwg from student work and ignored it, to your detriment.
B-- Assuming your AutoCAD is on legitimate license, call the reseller or Autodesk to have your file cleaned, after you remove the offending stuff. They can do it, but they may ask you to refer the offender to them.
I cannot and would not give any help that was in violation of Autodesk's licensing.

I hope this helps-- and I advise you, if you can't upgrade to the marvellously easier AutoCAD 2006, with its warnings, to do a test plot of anything you get from others, except regular trusted sources.

Good luck!!
