AutoCAD/File Conversion

QuestionI was wondering how i could convert an autocad dwg file into a pdf. format file, quick and easy. I have windows xp, using autocad 2000 LT and was wondering if you could do this straight from the auto cad program. I was thinking it maybe because of the version i am using and maybe you could do it in a newer autocad version? I have been converting the autocad 2000 Lt dwg. files into pdf. files by opening them into adobe illustrater and saving them from their. Their is also a problem when i have done this. The file after being put into adobe illustrater is missing small bits of info. Also the dimensions i had in the drawing with fractions aren't showing correctly. Is this just a file conversion issue or am i doing something wrong. If you could help me with any of this i would greatly appriciate it.
Thanks!
AnswerHi--
One can plot directly to a .pdf from recent versions of full AutoCAD, and probably LT. I suggest you go to www.pendean.com-- they specialize in LT. Tell Dean I sent you. There is probably a program out there that would allow you to plot pdfs from the old 2000.
I am not up on that -- so try Dean and try an LT discussion group via Autodesk.com.

PS-- UPGRADE to 2005 -- if you use the interface properly, it is a lot faster.
