Question
I have new LogitechMX1000Laser mouse - and it doesn't work in Autocad2006... With the wheel press down I cannot Pan. Not at all, the screen with the drawing will move slowly to the right, I have no control!
It's impossible to do anything, I am desperate..

Answer
If Logitech has no answers for you, then for now, set up the Mouse as if it were a Microsoft Wheel Mouse.  Use the Microsoft Drivers that come with Windows.  That's what I had to do with other Logitech Mice.  Next time, don't buy Logitech.  Unfortunately, it's the Intellimouse that AutoCAD is designed to use.  That's what I buy and because they work so well with AutoCAD from the beginning to end, I don't want anything else.

Here's a 3rd party outfit that makes a cool driver for games.  Perhaps it would work for you and AutoCAD.

But let's check the easy stuff, too.  Is MBUTTONPAN set to 1?

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
