Experience I've been in the 3D/2D CAD industry for over 10 yrs. & also had the opportunity/exposure to work with several mainstream design platforms including Helix Design Systems to Land Desktop.
Question I have recently put my Autocad 2008 on a new PC. I Can't seem to get the pan drag button to work on my mouse so I can pull the drawing around the screen. Normally I press the scroll wheel button and the hand appears and allows this function.
I have tried the MBUTTONPAN command but this does not fix it.
Do I need to assign the middle button through the control panel.
If so what should I assign this button to?
I have tried on an old mouse with the same problem.
Help! any ideas welome.
Answer Tom,
Typically the mouse driver is always the culprit. Try updating it, otherwise use a generic/compatible Microsoft driver if possible. Set middle mouse button to default or autoscroll. Ensure mbuttonpan variable to 1.
Hope this helps, let me know.
