I am using AutoCAD and it is running very slow. It was not like this before. All my other programs seem to be working at normal speed.   I have checked my pc for spyware and viruses and all is ok. Any idea on how to speed up my AutoCAD. I have all cleaned up my disk for temporary files and stuff like that.

Hi --- There is about zero chance that AutoCAD is the problem-causer. For one thing, it is not so intelligent as to be able to mutate just to aggravate us, although I often have thought it was coming after me with a hatchet-- lol.
I used to see this complaint frequently in the Adesk discussion groups, rarely now: I think that is because people have faster computers now, and more memory.
You really should have given your computer specs, the release of AutoCAD you are using, and the type of work,  but the answer is that you have downloaded or installed something that "does not get along with AutoCAD" and your system is being slowed by the struggle.
Go through the comp and disable or ininstall everything you dont absolutely need, one by one, then get rid of stuff you DO need til AutoCAD comes back to strength.
Consider buying more memory if you have <512 ram.

PS-- if the problem is only with dwgs having complicated layouts, look for the settings that avoid regen when swtiching layouts.
