AutoCAD/Plotting dashed lines

Question
When i try to plot a dashed or dotted line on an HP DesignJet 1055CM, it either prints as a solid line or it doesn't print at all

Answer
Hi - I just have one minute-- WAY not enough information in your question for a complete answer -- but the problem is 90% likely to be the drawing, not the plotter. (especially if you have checked  to see plotter drivers are updated)
Layout or model space?
Plot preview look right?
Test plot of portion of drawing on a small printer look right?
If those look wrong, you are seeing a dash onscreen which is out of scale to the plot, which thereapon seems solid.

Read up on LTSCALE -- and if you write back, please include which AutoCAD release you are on.
