AutoCAD/Publishing using layout tabs

Question
Hello J.B.,
When i use autocad publisher i want to be able to plot using only the layout tab names (i.e. drawing name Floor Plans.dwg, Layout Tab names within A101, A201, A301) I don't want the name in the published list to read Floor Plans A101, etc. I know i can rename them within the list one at a time, but that becomes time consuming when you have 200+ sheets. Thanks for your time.

Answer
Micheal,

Unfortunately, the publisher is encoded w/ in autocad & there's little manipulation can do w/ the output. However, if you have multiple items to rename, you can use a third party renaming utilities that can do just that. It can rename an entire folder - stripping out "Floor Plans " & leave you w/ the remaining layout tab names. I've used this freeware called 1-4a Rename for quite some time now & works great.

Hope this helps.
