AutoCAD/SHX Files

Question
I have an issue with  complex linetypes that contain SHX files. I receive drawings from all types of architects/designers who create there own linetypes, therefore when i receive there drawings i get the error when opening saying it is looking for e.g. (ECLIPSE.shx,liscad.shx and AECCLAND.shx). To further complicate the issue, i need to upload the drawings to a service provider who uses a javascript enabled system. So the problem is not that i don't have the shape files, but that the javascript enabled system cannot get past the window asking for the shape files, and just says that the file is invalid. So i need a way of being able to find the linetype and deleting/exploding/purging/changing the linetype so that it doesn't contain a shape or font.
Can you please help with this.
Thanks in advance

Answer
Express Tools has a function that defines linetypes.  You can use MKLTYPE to recreate the linetype.  As far as I know, there is no way to "EXPLODE" a linetype.  I've seen requests for this, but so far have not seen a solution.  However, I did find mention of tool called:
Cheap Tricks Ware CD Vol. I
which could have this built into it.  Search for it.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
