Question
In Autocad 2007 in the layout tab- my model does not zoom to the correct scale after I enter 'z enter 1/100xp' why is this and how do I fix it? It does zoom to the correct scale when I use another pc. I have tried to re-install,but this does not fix the problem.

I think you may be misinterpreting what you're seeing.  I have never had a zoom to scalexp fail.  First while in a layout (TILEMODE = 0) draw a line in model space (not Model Tab - the viewport).  Make it 100 millimeters long.  Type:
_.zoom
1/100xp or 0.01xp
Immediately change space to paper space.  Then make sure your viewport is big enough to see the whole line.  While still in paper space, zoom in close to the line and use the _.DISTANCE command to find the distance from one end of the line to the other.  It should be 1 millimeter.

If it is, lock the viewport display so that when you go into model space again, the zoom factor won't change.  Your viewport is scaled to 1/100 the scale of paper space.

Let me know how it goes.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
