AutoCAD/Shrinkwrap command

Question
Autocad 2005 version with Civil LandDesktop
I use the shrinkwrap command quite often, however today, i shrinkwrap a object which was a closed polyline and it didn't overlay the object but it was offset a few hundreds feet. I tried other objects and it shrinkwrap the objects properly and overlayed them, However for this object it continued to offset. Why is it doing that?

Answer
Hi -- so you are using LDT2005 with Civil.

Sorry, I do not have experience with those (I am an Interior Designer).

However, a good rule of thumb in AutoCAD, ADT, etc, is: If you can't get something to do what you want (your polyline). after a few attempts, erase and create the object over, then see if it behaves. That pl may have been drawn with some error, or at the wrong Z value, etc.

If you still have the problem, please go to Autodesk.com, find your product, click on  DISCUSSION GROUPS -- see if someone has posted the same question by using SEARCH, then post your question, if needed. You will get replies from experts on that software, and from some users.

I am good at helping Architects and Interior Designers who are intimidated by Autocad, ADT, etc. to feel comfortable, get things done. If you are in another field, I will do what I can for you. PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS TO QUESTIONER-- MOST DON'T FOLLOW THEM, AND IT MAKES IT VERY HARD TO ANSWER WELL-- THANKS
