AutoCAD/Zoom

Question
Bob,

I am currently using AutoCAD 2004. My office recently underwent a server change and I've noticed that now when I zoom, the osnaps highlight. Before the server change, even when osnaps were turned on, they never showed up when trying to draw a zoom window. Now I can't draw a zoom window without my cursor going to an osnap. Pleas advise as this is driving me nuts and I can't seem to find a way to stop this.

Answer
Hmmmm!  I am having troouble here. Your cursor can't go to an OSNAP if OSNAPS are off -- is it maybe that SNAP AND GRID  are turned on?  So you really see a yellow square at the corner of a zoom window?  More likely>>Are your grips and your OSNAPS set to 2 different colors (default: blue and yellow)?  Is the software, or more probably the user profile, residing on the server? (why else would the server change AutoCAD)?
Maybe they installed someone else's profile with customization as the profile for everyone?
I am going to suggest you go to Autodesk.com and navigate to the discussion groups -- I might put this question in the CAD Manager group, otherwise the AutoCAD 2004 group.
Someone there will recognize what got screwed up.  Also, any add-on software can make AutoCAD behave oddly, so if there is any installed, mention which ones.

Good Luck!!
