Question
QUESTION: Hi. Good day. On paper space, I use so many Viewport which made my AutoCAD very, very slow. Is there any way to lessen the load? I'd appreciate it very much. Thanks.

ANSWER: Ray,

One u can look is thru your 'OPTIONS' & under systems tab, check out setting for Layout Regen Options. Additionally, you can change 'MAXACTVP' to its min qty (this variable shows max active viewports). Turning off unnecesary viewports would speed things up considerably.
Hope this helps, let me know.

QUESTION: Hi. You've been very helpful from my last question regarding Viewports.
Here's another query which I find difficult.
I'm using AutoCAD LT, and I cannot appload LSP for my shortcuts command. So I edit ACAD.PGP. But I cannot make ZOOM ALL or ZOOM DYNAMIC or ZOOM PREVIOUS on one line command only(e.g. ZA for zoom all, ZD for zoom dynamic, ZP for zoom previous. Is there any way to make this in ACAD.PGP? Thanks again.

Answer
Ray,

Unfortunately, this is one of the main drawback for Autocad LT or Lite versions - It does not support programming languages such as AutoLisp & vba codes. Lisp are programs that executes calculations or a repetitious task that may or may not involve any user inputs.  The acad.pgp on the other hand is just a single command shortcut (or alias), not a programming language. So there is just no way to customize your *.pgp to execute multiple command outputs.
