AutoCAD/arrows

Question
OK, this one is driving me crazy. I place my arrows in Paper Space. Sometimes, for no evident rhyme or reason, they decide to point at other things. For instance, when I move a Viewport, sometimes the arrow will appear to continue pointing at the area where the object was. Or when I close and re-open a drawing, some arrows will be all messed up. Or right in the middle of a work session, without any reason that I can surmise, an arrow I placed one minute ago will be pointing somewhere else. I have tried tweaking the "associative" option in "Dimension Style" menu, but it hasn't helped. I'm at a loss.

Thanks!!!!!

What is it that you are calling arrows?  Are they blocks?  Are they combinations of blocks and lines?  Are they linear dimensions?  Are they leaders?  Are they radius or diameter dimensions?  Please be specific and remember to include the version of AutoCAD.  I want to help, but we need to be speaking the same language.  It could help to send me a drawing: bdeshawn@sterling.net

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
