Question
hey i want to buy a new desktop to work at home... i have a 2006 LT auto cad edition ... but all the computers that are new have vista.... please can you give me a some advice . that will be really help full thank you

Answer
Hi
First of all, it is quite easy to buy a computer running XP -- look around more.
Second -- yes, LT2006 is problematic on Vista, it seems. I went to the Autodesk Discussion group for LT, and typed in <<vista>> -- so should you, and take time to read a number of the posts.

Third, if you are using for work, and  dont have to send drawing files to people with older releases (or dont mind saving to 2004 format), consider the LT upgrade while the price is fairly moderate.  The LT page on the Adesk website will give you the features, some of which might be useful to you  -- they do keep improving the software.

I am good at helping Architects and Interior Designers who are intimidated by Autocad, ADT, etc. to feel comfortable, get things done. If you are in another field, I will do what I can for you. PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS TO QUESTIONER-- MOST DON'T FOLLOW THEM, AND IT MAKES IT VERY HARD TO ANSWER WELL-- THANKS
