Question
hi,
I asked you about this same question yesterday. I am using autocad 2002.  I am trying to put my draweing into ms word without the black background. I created a wmf file like you suggested but could only get the picture and could not put it into word.  I need to put it into word and in the middle of some writing.  Any help would be appricated.

Chris

Answer
Before picking the objects with WMFOUT, zoom in as close as possible to your selection.  This will minimize the background area in the picture frame in WORD.  In WORD, (although WORD is not supposed to be my area of expertise), size the picture and then right click on it and select "Format Picture".  Go to the Layout Tab and Select "Tight" or other Wrapping Style.

That is the best I will be able to do on this subject.
I hope I have helped.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
