AutoCAD/dimensions

Question
I am learning architectural desktop on my own.  I was dimension and everything was fine.  All of a sudden the text placement changed.  Now the fraction part of the dimension is on top of the whole number. For example, if the dimension of 1'-11 3/4”, the ¾ is on top of the 11.  Any idea on how to fix it.  I just ordered a book to help me with this program, but it has not arrived yet.  Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
SG

Answer
SG:
First lets find out what kind of dimensioning you are doing.  Are you using AutoCAD dimensions or are you using AEC dimensions?  Both are available in ADT.  Which version of ADT are you running?  Are you editing your dimension text with the MTEXT editor or are you allowing AutoCAD to automatically fill the text in for you?

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
