Question
My convertion program is taking my dwg files and converting them to dwf files for viewing over the web, but when the convertion is complete the border is missing from some of my drawings. I wondering if this is a promblem with my cad file our the convertion process itself. We are currently using autocad LT 2006 the drawings have tabs the first one comes out correct the drawing from other disaplens are missing there borders..

Answer
Well, Askia, not having the drawing to work with, I can only guess.  My first (and only) guess is that the borders are xrefs and the reason you can't see them is because they aren't getting loaded.  Open your XREF manager (command "_.xref") and see if there are XREFs that are not getting loaded or not found.  If you have the XREF or Title block drawing (border drawing), then put it in the same folder as the drawing you are converting.  Then you should be able to find a plotter configuration that will plot to DWF.  You should not need a conversion tool to make DWF files.  Look in your plotter manager (command "_.plottermanager") for something like "PublishToWeb DWF55.pc3".  If it's there, then use that plotter configuration to plot with. I don't have LT, but I see in AutoCAD LT support knowledge base that LT apparently can create DWF files.  Plotting DWF from AutoCAD LT will allow you to plot all visible objects without any conversion tools.
Let me know how it goes.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
