Question
I am using AutoCAD 2004, and need to explode text so that I can align it with a 3D object that is sloped, I was wondering if there is a commant that will allow me to explode text.

Thanks

Answer
Hi -- I dont think you have given me quite enough information for a clear response, (is the text 2 words or many paragraphs, the object is a ???, the purpose is ??? etc.) but here goes:

If you mean you have an old drawing with a lot of text (not Mtext? I never use the regular text any more), and want to trim it so it does not cover the 3D object, use cut and paste.

If you are trying to align a small amount of text with an odd object, then copy the text a large number of times, and erase selectively within each copy, so you have little building blocks of text (from one letter to a few words), which you can then arrange.

This is as close as I can come right now: I hope it helps.
