AutoCAD/fonts

Question
I have loaded Architxt, Archtitl, and Archquik into my AutoCAD LT 2006 font folder. If I bring drawings into 2006 from a disk or my old 97 LT program simplex keeps getting substituted for Architxt. If I change the format to Archtitl some of the text in the drawing changes but not all. Setting the font to Architxt has no effect. The Architxt, etc. fonts are listed in the text style dialogue box. I'm an architect and have been using AutoCAD LT 97 for 8 years. 2006 is new for me. I can't seem to get rid of the simplex font. What to do? Thanks, Bob

Answer
Sorry I have no time right now for more research, so best shot:
1-- have you created a new text style with the font you want and tried to use in the the drawings?
2-- if you want to change  the font within a drawing, try widowing the whole drawing, use the Properties Palette to select only the text, and change the font, or better, text style.
Many modifications are now done in the Properties Palette.

You jumped from the stone age -- I learned on LT97. Buy a good book on AutoCAD LT and re-learn habits: you will be a lot faster.
