Question
hi im using acad 2004. i would like to use a "jagged" lintetype for the section of a rubble stone wall. does such a thing exist? (i'm sorry if you've already answered this question somewhere, i couldn't find the thread if you did...)

Answer
Hopefully, when you installed AutoCAD 2004, you also installed EXPRESS TOOLS.  Assuming that you did, you can use the MKLTYPE function for creating a linetype.  You can't make this linetype with just lines.  You have first to make a SHAPE.  That's easy to do with EXPRESS TOOLS' MKSHAPE command.  Then you can use the shape to make a linetype with MKLTYPE.
HINT:  The longer you make the shape, the longer each line segment will have to be in order for the shape to be realized.  If the line segment is too short, it will show as a continuous linetype.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
