AutoCAD/linetypes

Question
We run Autocad LT and it has a limited amount of linetypes. I draft for a surveying firm and need to make water lines, sewer lines, stormdrain lines and pressurized irrigation. there are no line types for this. I took a class in autolisp and the programs I made in full autocad did not run in the LT version. We also use Carlson Survey which is very simular to autocad. How do I make a new linetype in the LT version? OT where can I download new linetypes?

Answer
http://www.caddepot.com
baseline.exe

When you get a LIN file, you can paste its contents into the ACAD.LIN file or ACLT.LIN file.

You can download LinCatalog here:

There are also addition linetypes on the same page.

If you ever decide to spend the extra dough and get full AutoCAD, EXPRESS TOOLS come with it and one of the EXPRESS TOOLS is MKLTYPE, which assists the user to make his own linetypes.  A very nice tool.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
