AutoCAD/lisp

Question
I do contracting for a company that has sent me a lsp file to aid in my drawings.  I have loaded it like they instructed and it shows that it is loaded, but I can't get it to work.  I have double checked the "support file search" and checked in "tools, load application" and everything seems to be OK.  It just won't perform the work it should.  Any other suggestions?  This is my first experience with this type of file.  Thanks  I am in AutoCAD 2006

Answer
HI -- Sorry the question was mislaid for awhile.
First of all, I am not a fan of lisp and dont use it -- so much of old users' treasured customization is better done now with tool palettes and other improvements to AutoCAD.
Second, just because someone sent it to you does not mean it us valid and is compatible with the release of AutoCAD you are using-- you give me no evidence of these.
The person who should help you make sure it works is the person who made it and sent it to you -- he or she is familiar with it, while I have no way to critique it, or the way in which you are trying to use it.
I hope that helps -- please write back again with other questions, if you like, but be specific about your work, your experience, and the version of the software.
