AutoCAD/menu macros

Question
I am a network Admin and one of the company employees is still using AutoCad R12(DOS)with Digitizer .  I want to switch him over to AutoCad 2002(Win2K),no digitizer, but he keeps insisting on having a toolbar button that turns all layers off except picked layer.  this is an option he has on his digitizer.  Is there some sort of toolbar button macro I can write that will do the same thing?        thank you very much for any help you can give me.

Answer
Yes.  Autodesk sells Express Tools ($149.00) and one of the tools is LAYISO.  It turns all the layers off except picked layers.  The problem with this is that if you use the ALL selection option, even the objects on the off layers will be selected.  If you use my isolation routine from my website, the layers will be frozen instead of turned off.  The routine name is LASF.  It also comes with an UNLASF, but that part of the routine doesn't work with XREF layers.
You can buy Express Tools here:
http://www.autodesk.com/estore/usa/index.htm
or you can download my routine at
http://pages.prodigy.net/bdeshawn/bdeshawn.htm and click on the AutoLISP/Visual Lisp Routines link at the bottom.  There you will find LASF.LSP

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
