Answer
Hi-- you do not (as my profile asks) give me the AutoCAD release you are on.

My guess is that you have upgraded to 2007 or 2008 and did not stop to read the New Features Workshop, or any of the material on new releases.
The mnu is DEAD as of the 2006 releases, two years ago.
If you will look at that New Features Workshop (in the HELP pulldown menu, you will get an idea  what the new story is.
To explain it is a chapter of a book, or 2-3 four hour classes--- I cant do that here.
So use HELP and look online for tutorials on customizing AutoCAD 2006 forward--- or buy a good book.
BTW -- the biggest user sin I find is "marrying" their old customization, rather than noticing that AutoCAD tends to make it obsolete as it progresses.
For 2004 onward, most of the customization started to go to tool palettes, now it is in the Dashboard.

So either you have missed a few releases, and might best catch up, or I missed guessing your question, because it applies only to software released before March 2005, and, since you were migrating menus, I assumed you got new software.
Write back for more help if I am wrong.
