AutoCAD/mtext editor

Question
Goodmorning,

I know I am not suppose to do this, but sometimes i use multiline text instead of single line text in Acad 2002. when editing the text in the multiline text editor window the text is very hard to read. In the drawing it looks normal (just like any line) but in the editor it allmost disappears, it becomes extremely thin ghost-like text!

please help me to fix this problem, because my eyes are starting to hurt badly!

Answer
Jasper:
This is an AutoCAD problem that has a WINDOWS solution.  This problem arises when you set your display to smooth the edges of screen fonts.  In Windows XP it's a little harder to find, but I believe it is a subheading of either EFFECTS or APPEARANCE.  Try to find it in your display properties.  If you can't find it, let me know what operating system you are using, and I will assist.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
