AutoCAD/rotated text in layout

Question
Hi Bob,

I'm having a problem with layouts that I've created.  What I do is create a layout and then switch to model space in the view port.  Once in model space, I zoom to the view that I want.  However, I often need to rotate the view.  I then rotate the UCS around the Z axis to the orientation I need and then set the view by using the 'plan' command and 'current'.  I then zoom to the view I need and set the layout back to paper space.

What happens then is that when printed or even print previewed, the text appears at the wrong rotation.  I can't seem to get it to print with the right rotation even though it shows the right rotation in the layout view.  This problem doesn't seem to occur when the UCS rotation is at a 90 degree incrament (90, 180, 270).  Any idea what might be wrong, or how to fix it?

Thanks for any help,

Answer
Hi-- I just returned from out of town. Your approach is not the one I would use. Its late, and with your having failed to note which Autocad release you are using, I can only give you how I would do it on a recent release.
_____Right out of Autocad HELP:   << Command line:  dview
Select objects or <use DVIEWBLOCK>:
Enter option
[CAmera/TArget/Distance/POints/PAn/Zoom/TWist/CLip/Hide/Off/Undo]:   Specify a point with your pointing device, or enter an option

Twist
Twists or tilts the view around the line of sight. AutoCAD measures the twist angle counterclockwise, with 0 degrees to the right.>>

I NEVER find a need to mess with the UCS to rotate the objects in the viewport. See if this helps
