AutoCAD/scale

Question
I'm 55 yr old architect, trying to do AutoCadd. I'can do most of the basics however I have been working on smaller buildings with 1/4 scale.  Now I am working on a larger building that needs to be 1/8" scale.  I've done the drawing, but don't know how to have it dimension and plot for 1/8in.

I've tried the help menus, but I think I need a little more hand holding.

Thank you for your time and God Bless you, regardless of your help.

Answer
Hi-- Congratulations on tackling AutoCAD, but (sorry) brickbats for trying it on your own without (apparently) a tutor or a good book. Pages setups and plotting are at least one chapter in a book. Also could not help much without knowing which release you are using, as plotting chaged with 2000 and 2004.
Go to Borders, etc, and look through the books, then buy one.
The basic hint is that you always draw at 1:1, then create layouts for scaling, but honest, I can't sit here all night and type out what takes me half a day when I teach.
