Question
after ive entered a text discription .how do i draw a poiter or arrow to the area described?
acad r 14

Answer
Hi -- Sorry I never got this until tonight.
The arrow and line are called a "leader". If you look up this term in AutoCAD help, or any book covering R14, You will learn how to create them. I am sorry that AutoCAD 14 was just being replaced by AutoCAD 2000 when I learned, in 1999, and I do not remember if the way leaders are created is different in R14, so I can only tell you what to look up.
Also search under "annotation" -- I believe you will find that when creating the leader, you are prompted to insert the text, so do not create the text first.
If you get stuck, try back, and I will look to see if I can find it for you.

I am good at helping Architects and Interior Designers who are intimidated by Autocad, ADT, etc. to feel comfortable, get things done. If you are in another field, I will do what I can for you. PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS TO QUESTIONER-- MOST DON'T FOLLOW THEM, AND IT MAKES IT VERY HARD TO ANSWER WELL-- THANKS
