Question
Hello,

I have a problem in Autocad 2006LT. We have a master layers button and I think that the macro file has been messed with and some of the buttons work and other don't. do you have any thoughts what might be wrong.
Thanks James

Answer
First set CMDECHO to 1 and/or remove the ^P entries from the menu macro, if any.  That will enable you to help track the error.  Then use your text screen to study where the error is coming from.  Remember that in a macro a space is ENTER and so is a semi-colon (;).  Excepr for diesel commands which I don't think you're going to need, it's pretty straight-forward.  After you iron out the problems you can replace the ^P entries at the beginning and the end of the macro if they existed.  I'm not sure of the interface for 2006 LT.  Is it CUI like AutoCAD?  If so, the interface will be new to you and I am not sure if what I have is exactly like what you have, because I have FULL AutoCAD.
Keep trying and keep in touch

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
