Expert: Bob - 3/2/2006

I'm working on a drawing done by someone else and I cant view it in model space or paper space, but I'm able to view it in the preview box when I open up the drawing so I know its there i've tried using XREF and opening it up like i've done with previous drawing but this one says its not found. what else can i do? hope to hear from you soon im using autocad 2006 Thank you very much

I am not too clear -- you can open it, but the screen is blank??  I presume you made sure all the layers are on, used a window and Quick Select to see if you can highlight anything, or find anything listed in Properties, and so forth.
Or are you saying it does not open at all? In that case it is corrupted, will preview, but not open. Use RECOVER.
Any possibility the drawing  has  some elements far off to the side, so that when viewing it at Extents, the objects are too small to be seen?
It would be good to know how the drawing was created, and in which release. The file size would help a lot -- you left out a lot of clues.
