Question
I am working with AutoCAD 2000

The question is :
When I try to view in 3D a squer drown in 2D by useing line command and chang the thickness in the properties, it is working OK.
When I do the same by useing the rectangle command and extrude it, it is working OK.
BUT,when I use the MULTILINE to drow a squer I can not view it in 3D even by changing the thickness or use the extrude.
WHAT is the way to view in 3D by useing Maltiline?
Thank you

Answer
Hassan:
Mlines don't fill or extrude, nor do they have any thickness properties.  Therefore they are incompatible with 3-dimensional work altogether.  3D polylines are compatible.  It would be best if you continue to use 3DPOLY, EXTRUDE and other 3D commands to create 3D solids and vectors in AutoCAD.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
