Question Hi, I have a Spalding NFL Regulation Football signed by Otis Wilson and Dan Hampton of the 85' Championship Bears team. I recently had seen a Sports Illustrated magazine signed by Dan Hampton on bid for $2,000. I never really thought the football had any financial value. My question is, does it have any value and if so, around how much? Thank you in advance :)
Answer Trust me, a Dan Hampton autographed Sports Illustrated isn't worth anywhere near $2000. If someone actually paid that, they are stupid. Hampton's autograph is plentiful and not in high demand. I have Hampton autographed 8x10 photos priced at $40 and they are not exactly hot sellers.
Your football has some value but probably between $75 and $125 retail depending on the condition.
I can answer most questions regarding the appraising, authenticating, buying or selling of modern (20th century to present) autographs of all genres including Hollywood, music, politics, sports and more.

I am the world's top expert on Tiger Woods autographs, having followed his signing habits since 1996. I was featured on the premiere episode of the TLC show Auctioneer$ to evaluate a questionable Tiger Woods autographed golf ball.
