Autographs - don't want to ruin autograph

Question
I have a Kim Wilde discography card which was sent to me in my fan club package in 1995, so I assume that is the when it was signed by her (actually, I have two of them, both originally signed in gold pen). What I would like to know is, would laminating the card ruin the value of the autograph?.

Answer
That's not a good idea to laminate an autograph.  Instead I would suggest getting a hard plastic top loader to keep this in.  They sell them in just about any size now days and all you need to do is make sure you get an ACID FREE top-loader.  This will act as the protection you are looking for while keeping it in it's original condition. You can purchase one for an 8x10 here:

4x6 toploaders are the same size so you can specify that in your notes if you order there or you can search amazon or google for them.
