Question
hey sean.  I'm building me a demo derby car and in the process of tearing the dash out i cut the main wiring run that ties in with the tach and speedometer wiring.  Now when i try to turn the car over im not getting any spark out of my coil because theres no power.  this is just a derby car so im going to crash it can i just wire this up myself or maybe try a junk yard and tie what i cut back in.  i need to go the cheapest route. the harness has 4 wires 2 of them look like 14 gauge and the other 2 18 gauge.  87 nissan i think its a sentra but not sure heres the vin    1N4PB21S8HC788627 WITH A E1.6S ENGINE

Answer
Youre gonna have to put the tach back in.Maybe the speedo also because the PCM is wired through both. You must have dash lights,i,e,ignition for the engine to start.Connect up the heavy gauge and try it.Or simply put the clocks back and duct tape over them.
