Question
1989 ford escort quit while driving. Will not start. Engine turns over strong.
Checked and is getting fuel from the enjector to the throttle body. Replaced fuel
pump two years ago. Would it be some sort of an ignition module? if so where
would it be located and how to replace it. Thank you for your time.

Answer
Check for spark and it may be the cap or rotor. The module is usually on the firewall. It may have the old type coil if i remember.I would look at the ignition first. The wires also may need changed. If you are getting fuel then its the ignition.Best bet is get a Chilton manual as theyre pretty cheap and have all the info you will need.
