Question
i have a 92 ranger 2.3l 4 cyl that is getting fire but will not start. i have changed the crank sensor and its not that....i have even tried the spark plugs and the computer.... What can cause this? i have been puzzled on this for months now... can you please help me get my truck going?

Answer
You need several things to make your car run.Spark, fuel, compression, and all at the right time,,ie,,,TDC,,,top dead center. If all are working, then the car will run.So one is not right and you say it has fire?I assume you mean spark.Ok,so then if the compression is ok and all cylinders are 100 psi or approx,, then it must be fuel.Check if you are getting fuel pressure. With a tester at the rail the pressure will be 45psi approx. If you are getting no pressure then look at the pump and relay.Let me know what you find. Then we can go from there.
