Question
Turn the key on and for 2 to 2.5seconds you hear the hum from the fuel pump. Gas is getting through the filter. Checked that. Put new plugs in and it is getting spark When I crank up the engine, it wants to start and has one or two slight combustion but it is acting like it is starving for fuel. Have changed the fuel relay fuse. New fuel filter. When I checked the fuel flow it was pushing out a good couple of ounces every time the fuel pump went on. I am at a lost. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Answer
The hum you hear is the start up feed for the inital run motor.Even though you hear the pump and see some fuel it may not be enough pressure to run the engine as a few drops wont start it.It must have 45 pounds presure at the rail so , you need to test the pressure at the rail with a fuel pressure tester which is for high pressure fuel injection, dont buy the low pressure type it wont work.It will have a fitting to hook up on your injector rail so test that and if its not 45 psi,or has a low reading of less then your fuel pump is bad.
