Question
i am about to buy a 1995 galant LS from a used dealer however the check oil light wont come off even though the oil had been checked and changed. what type of problems could this hint to now and in the future?
this could be a couple of reasons,low oil pressure,,faulty oil pressure switch ,,,,if its low oil presure you will have to renew the oil pump which is a major job.This is a serious fault if you ignore the warning light it is very possible your engine may seize,,,,,,,,or it may just be the pressure switch ,,its your call,,risky ,,,my advice is to buy another car and give this one a wide berth.......-
