Question
Hi my 96 geo tracker will not start. I have fuel and spark.
If I take the efi fuse out while someone turns the engine over and insert and remove the fuse rapidly it will try to run. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
Rich

Answer
The EFI fuse is the electronic fuel injection so if you are getting fuel to the rail as you say,it must not be getting in the engine.I assume you looked at the plugs to see if theyre wet?.If they are dry then your problem is the injection system.Another thing is the spark. It must be a good strong blue spark with a distinctive snap as you turn the engine over. You can test the power to the injectors with a noid light and these are pretty cheap from a parts store.Alternatively you can take one injector out and see if it sprays fuel but be  careful. It should spray a little as you first turn on the key and you dont have to crank the engine. All injectors will spray a little fuel in initially for start up then once the engine starts the injectors take over and run constantly. So thats where i would look.Fuel.Also,fuel pressure, should be 45psi(approx) at the rail constant and test with a pressure gauge. If you do all of these tests let me know what you find.Pull the injector RELAY and try a different one.Could be faulty.Thats another possibility.
