Question
My husband spent $100 to replace the entire turn signal unit on the steering column, and it did not fix his problem. The right turn signal will not work. He has replaced bulbs and flasher part. How do we find the problem? He has been using a trailer for his lawn service, and that is when the problem started. He has been hooking up the lights on the trailer for safety.

Answer
He will need to unhook the trailer and start again to look for the problem.I believe it could be a short in the wiring that has either blown the relay or the fuse, did he look at the fuses? and relays.especially the turn relay which works both sides and also the emergency flashers. If all checks out as ok then he must trace the wiring for the trailer as its likely to be shorting out.Unless hes pretty good with car electrics,i would leave it to a expert electrician as these guys can find the problem in no time. When you say he replaced the flasher part ,,,i take it as the bulb holder,,,,so try the flasher unit usually under the dash,,,if you turn on the hazards you will hear it clicking, just pull it out and try a different one.
