Question
Car went dead while driving, won't restart,

5 speed no prior problems

Answer
This sounds like a major fault either electrical or fuel. There are several components that will need to be tested so if you can start with fuel pressure and then check for spark thats usually what is done.Every car needs the same essentials to run, spark,,the right fuel mix at the right time and compression at the correct time so one of these is missing .Its up to you to determine which.Hope this helps.Items to check,,,,,distributor,,fuel pump,,,timing belt in case it snapped...all wires and connections ,,fuel pressure..unless you are familiar with these cars then its a trip to the local shop,,,,,,
