Question
Hi I am writing for my friend, who has the exact same car as i do, so this peaks my curiousity. I had my brake switch replaced on the recall. Now, my friend noticed yesterday that when he steps on his brakes, his passanger side blinker and interior dash blinker arrow light up and stay solid until he releases the brake pedal. He called VW and they said this doesnt sound likes its related to the brake switch recall, but my friend is worried thi swill cost him an arm and a leg to fix, do you have any idea what might cause this?

Answer
Sounds like the wires have got crossed from the brake lights to the turn signals. If the dealer has worked on this i would take it back because its obviously been wired wrong. Its the dealer who you have to contend with but it is a wiring problem for sure so i wonder if the brake switch has a recall, then why not this problem also.Get an estimate and an explanation from the dealer. It is related to the brake switch so,,,,,,,
