Question
I need to add freon to my system and the fitting on the recharge kit fits to the car but the freon doesn't go in.
the ac compressor will not come on and the digital readout says "Low freon" is there a special fitting for a Cadillac or are they all the same? or is something else wrong?

Answer
When the gas gets too low,there is a sensor which cuts off the compressor so as to save wear on the unit.As the gas also contains the lubricant this is why it does so.You will need to have it looked at by a professional as you cannot add gas if the cut out is engaged with the top up kit.
