Hi. I have a 2001 GMC with diesel engine. I want to idle for extended periods(overnight)to keep battery in camp trailer charged while camping.Will this harm my engine? Thanks in advance for your reply.
wont do it any harm but have you thought of a small generator?.....just to save wear and tear on the engine and diesel fuel.if you cant use a generator dont worry bout idling for long periods i have seen lots of diesel engines run for long periods,,,,no worries.......
