Automotive/2001 VW Jetta repairs

QuestionI took my daughter's car in for 100K service. The dealer found a few problem that I think they were charging too much for the repairs. I have a few question regarding the fixes they recommended.
1. Replace fuel filter - is it easy to replace this and if so please help
2. Secondary air pump - they said it was coming apart. How urgent is this fix? Can I wait a few days?
3. Where can I buy a wheel lock key for a reasonable price
4. I need to replace the battery in the key and need instructions to do so.
I would really appreciate the help. I want to be a little informed before I take it to a car shop.
Answer1.the fuel filter is easy.its under the car towards the rear.Usually passenger side wheel. It has 2 clamps either end and you need to probably unhook the filter from the body. Its held with 2 bolts.Remove the fuel pipes and note which way the filter is situated as the flow will be arrowed and dont put it in backwards.Dont start the car as the fuel pressure will need to be allowed to drop so let the car sit for a few hrs before you remove the filter.2.Air pump is a must fix as it is necessary for air pollution.EPA....If you dont fix it the car will not pass smog.It also may ruin your catalytic convertor.3.Wheel keys can be got at most part stores.4.You will need to ask the dealer to replace the key battery as im not sure on this one.I believe it may be necessary to replace the complete key unit but im not 100%.Be extremely careful with the fuel filter as there will be some gas spillage when you remove the filter........I would have a fire extinguisher on hand as i always do....GAS IS HIGHLY COMBUSTIBLE.For the sake of a few dollars ,,i would let the shop do it.
