Recently got the dreaded check engine light and had the auto parts store read the code for me, and are getting a P0171 (system too lean Bank 1) And am not sure what to check next.  And whay is it onll bank 1?  Your help is greatly appreciated! Joel

On vee engines you have bank1 and bank2.Left and right cylinders which have their own injection and 02 sensors.You will next have to test the o2 sensor and vacuum at the intake manifold for leaks.Im thinking its your o2 sensor but best to get it checked by a professional as its not good for your engine to run lean.
