Question
I have a 1999 Corvette and every time i crank it the car will run for five or six seconds and then start running out of fuel it sounds like and shut off. It has plenty of fuel and if you pat the gas just right after it sits a bit it will run about seven or eight seconds. Any suggestions.
Thanks Will

Answer
Test fuel pressure with a tester. At the rail it should be 45psi approx constant.See what you find and then look at the filter and fuel pressure regulator particularly the vaccum to the regulator and see there is no fuel in the vacuum hose.If there is,replace the regulator.
