QUESTION: Why when i start my 2005 altima v6 in am when cold i smell raw gas thru the ac/heater vents? I have 25,000 miles on car

ANSWER: Not good, as a gas leak can cause a fire.I would take it to a shop or dealer as there are many causes for this and the fuel system is under high pressure and only a pro tech who is qualified is recommended to service it.

QUESTION: i was told i may have a leaky o ring or a bad injector. I was not told to refrain from driving. How do I check for a leaky oring and or injector?

Look at the fuel injector rail while the engine is running and see if there is gas leaking around the injectors.This may take some removal of several parts to get at it.A leaking o ring is dangerous as fuel is leaking on a hot engine but its your call if you drive it or not.The only way to repair a o ring is to replace all of them at once and a leaky injector is probably a rubber o ring leak.
