QuestionMy question is simple. (maybe) I brought my S500 back into shop because it was doing the same thing I had just finished paying $950. for and wanted to be right.A month later I am told that it will cost another $4000. now to fix.Something new??? anyway I want a second opinion this dealership is disgusting!!!@Now I'm told my battery is dead and the car won"t run not because of the dead battery. So I have to have my car towed out of there?? When I drove my car there ? Is that right??
AnswerYet another dealer horror story. One of many i have heard and have had many dealings with these "cowboys" as that is what most of them are.In my opinion, tow your car home and dont give them another cent.Get a good shop who can diagnose the problem or tell me what the symptoms are and let me help and see if i can put you on the right track. If the dealer you went to didnt do anything, they probably never will get it right as many of these people "throw" parts at a car and hope to get lucky. Many of the same stories i have heard and irate people who end up finally getting to me to have the car fixed. One story was the same car,merc/benz 500sl,spent $1500 on parts and still had the same problem but they couldnt even read the check engine, that was after 6 weeks in the shop.I finally found the sensor that was faulty after 20 mins. So,cant help with these people just advise you do some research and find a shop who knows this car.If it was allowed, some of these so called car experts should be closed down, but they get away with it day in and day out.Its all because they have huge corporate backings and the ordinary person has no chance.
